Versatile Blogger Award

I am delighted to report that I’ve been nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award.  It is a symbol of the goal that many have to make the Internet a friendly place to work and visit.  Thank you!

The rules:

  • Thank the person who gave you the award and include a link to their blog:  Thank you Bette A. Stevens (
  • Nominate eight bloggers that you recently discovered or that you follow regularly:
  • Tell the person who nominated you seven things about yourself.

As with Bette’s blog, I check these every day.  Take a look.

Congratulations to the following Nominees for the Versatile Blogger Award!

  1. BearsPawPrint
  2. Beetles in the Bush
  3. Fight for Rhinos
  4. The Goat that Wrote
  5. Kev’s Stuff
  6. The Ocean Update
  7. A Passion for Birds
  8. Wayne Ferrebee at ferrebeekeeper

Bette, here are seven things I’ve never told anyone:

  1. Early morning sunlight slanting across an oak floor makes me feel good.
  2. I am reading Bette A. Stevens’ book:  Amazing Matilda
  3. Age 9, I fell in love with a girl I met in the lobby of the Rialto Theatre–never saw her again.
  4. I am reading Amelia Curzon’s book Mungai and the Goa Constrictor.
  5. Age 10, stole a rusty wrench from an old box car, left it under a bush and felt guilty for a year.
  6. When I saw the seventh grade love of my life at our 20-year high-school reunion, I did not recognize her.
  7. I don’t tell anyone that the neighbor’s cows slip into our yard and graze around the house at night (I think my wife knows).

Happy New Year Everyone!

  1. Hello,
Congratulations on receiving the Versatile Blogger Award and thanks for nominating me! Here are seven things about me:
    1. I have been to two youth birding camps that changed my life.
    2. I love looking at the night sky.
    3. Eating good food is one of my favorite hobbies.
    4. Another of my favorite hobbies is playing board games.
    5. The beach is one of my favorite places to be.
    6. I would love to write a book.
    7. I have never been out of North America.

  2. Hi Marshall,
There are many kinds of books. For instance, you can assemble blog posts and published them using CreateSpace. The biggest benefit might be the pleasure you get seeing the book on your shelf. But it could turn into something of benefit for others.
    Best wishes.
