Weeds, Nature’s First Responders

My weed book is in print. It focuses on the weeds in Dewey-Humboldt, a small town in central Arizona. There are 40 families, 163 genera, and 214 species of weeds present in Dewey-Humboldt now, or expected soon. The book includes descriptions and illustrations of 149 species. Buy from Amazon and most other bookstores. You may also down a free PDF copy.

  1. This book, with it’s beautiful illustrations and color photos, also includes culinary and medicinal uses – where appropriate. It’s available at Gifts & Games, Main St & Hwy 69 in Dewey-Humboldt.

  2. Thanks Professor,
I heard about the bacteria. We make progress. If only we could control our worst impulses and become more aware of our surroundings, we might achieve the Star Trek Federation ideals.

  3. Outstanding Garry! Keep up the great work!

Btw, have you heard the recent news about the bacteria/enzyme that has been found (in Japanese laboratories) to EAT plastic and turning in back into its original organic components? And apparently a UK or US lab has developed the same, but works 20% faster than the one from Japan.

How much do you want to wager that mega oil corporations want to JUMP ON, or rather “eat up” all the potential “revenue” this bacteria/enzyme can possibly generate for the oil industries and in order to curb environmentalist’s threats?
