GR:  Animal cruelty is a human flaw.  Neglect and mistreatment of our own and other animal species are the unfortunate norm for our species.  We make unlawful only the very worst, the real atrocities of our cruelty.  When someone violates these laws, they have done something truly terrible indeed.
