Consensus is growing that we are steering towards a sixth mass extinction event. There are calls for increased efforts to stop the accelerating loss of plants and animals. But do we really need to protect all species from global extinction? Source: phys.org
GR: A critical flaw renders this concept nonsensical. We have very little long-term data on the consequences of species enhancement or extraction. We need more “in-the-water” and “on-the-ground” survey and monitoring data. Acting with limited knowledge might cause more harm than good.

Indeed. Limited is, most of the time, is not good. When it comes to protecting mother nature and living things, it is of utmost priority to be fully equipped, knowledgeable, emotionally and physically ready before kicking off. We want to make sure that we’ll do our jobs well and not the other way around.
