If history is any indication, the answer is clearly NO. And, if the so-called “free trade” agreements currently being pushed in the U.S., East Asia, and the E.U. (TTP and TTIP) are approved, the legal mechanisms to control corporate behavior (i.e. national sovereignty) will be effectively abolished.
