  2. Howdy Garry – my mom briefly dated L. Ron Hubbard – they met at a Science Fiction fan club meeting in 1950 – my dad had introduced her to Hubbard and was so upset when she went out with him (only once, as the family legend goes…) that he immedietly asked my mom to marry him!! They were married in 1951. My dad, a HUGE fan of Analog and other SciFi literature, would not allow Hubbard’s books in our house…..HA! Kristine
