Infinite Writers is a vibrant community located in central Arizona and dedicated to the craft of writing, proudly supported by the Agua Fria Open Space Alliance (AFOSA). At AFOSA, we believe in the power of words to explore, explain, and celebrate the world around us. We are committed to encouraging and supporting writers of all genres and experience levels. Our Special Focus: The Natural World

While Infinite Writers members embrace every form of written expression – from gripping fiction to insightful essays and everything in between – AFOSA holds a special interest in fostering nature writing. The landscapes, flora, and fauna of our unique environment offer endless inspiration, and we aim to empower writers to capture these stories with clarity and passion.

Our Organizer: Dr. Garry Rogers

This group is spearheaded by Garry Rogers, President of AFOSA. With a deep commitment to both the literary arts and the natural world, Dr. Rogers is dedicated to building a self-sustaining writing society in central Arizona that thrives on collaboration and mutual support.

What Drives Us?

Craftsmanship: We believe, as Roy Peter Clark suggests, that “writing is a craft you can learn.” We provide the tools, guidance, and community to help you hone that craft.
Collaboration: Writing can be a solitary pursuit, but it flourishes in community. We foster connections, critique, and collaborative projects like our planned anthologies.
Inspiration: From the intricacies of plot development to the beauty of a desert bloom, we find inspiration everywhere and encourage our members to do the same.
Support: Every writer faces challenges. Infinite Writers offers a supportive environment to share triumphs, navigate obstacles, and keep the words flowing.
