Interview with artist Eric Vanasse:
What’s the significance of pairing the threatened animals with the young children?
Children will inherit the environmental problems that older generations have bequeathed them. It will be up to them to find solutions and deal with the remaining animals. Reblogged this on Smorgasbord – Variety is the spice of life and commented:
I think most of us are confused by the various statements made about global warming and climate change by scientists and politicians with agendas. However, there is no doubt that as we wallow in our consumer driven society we are doing harm to the earth by stripping it of the fabric which holds it together and enables it to breathe. So these paintings I think are an excellent way to get us all to visualise the outcomes – beautiful but very thought provoking – something the ‘experts’ cannot do with pie-charts and very long winded presentations.
